Baybah Made Blog & Recipes

Come one… come all!!! I am profoundly proud to announce the launch of Baybah Made Blog & Recipes!

Here you will find an ever-growing collection of Baybah Made content, recipes & company updates. This will be an extension & enhancement of our social media presence, allowing you to find recipes with instructions quickly. Here, there will be no need to franticly search for the elusive “jump to recipe” button before the pop ups start. This is meant to be a no nonsense platform…with some silly goose vibes.

I had been working on writing down family recipes well before our start in 2023; if I am being honest, this has truly been a 20-year labor of love. My family commonly cooks without recipes and/or measuring, so I am jazzed to say I’ve learned to write recipes down more often instead of eyeballing & winging it.

I won’t lie — I don’t write recipes down EVERY time. I would say that a solid 70% of the time I know which parts of several recipes I smashed together so I CAN write them down later IF they were any good. I’m sure this all sounds very hilarious, but I assure you it is a vast improvement from writing things down 0% of the time, FOR SURE. Yep — I’m happy with those self-assigned statistics and their analysis haha!

Chicanery aside, this content, blog, & collection of recipes is a perfect example of how it really does pay to start somewhere. Your start may not be bold. Often, success gains momentum quietly, after many steps are taken and you’ve shown up more mornings on empty than on full, despite things possibly not looking like you envisioned. With time and attention, things evolve!

As long as you are moving forward with your goals in mind, you can do something small every day to help encourage growth. Success grows where there is consistent effort. There will be times the amount of effort you can expend fluctuates. There will be times of uncertainty where you question if you have what it will take to make this all (whatever it is) work. It is important during those times to remember: in every instance you choose self-action over self-doubt, you reinforce both the belief you have in your dream AND in yourself.

Much like the “non-bold start,” I have found that inner confidence isn’t loud. Confidence is quiet. Confidence is consistently showing up every day, learning to pivot when you know you have to, and trusting yourself enough to figure it out as you go — no matter what it looks like, no matter what others think. If you can be confident in that dream and your efforts to build it, build it you will.

Don’t be afraid to be afraid. It’s scary because it matters to you! Start anyway. Be wrong. Learn. Be open to change. Be hungry for knowledge. Progress happens when you step out of your comfort zone, make mistakes, and learn. Persistence will beat perfection every single time; just remember to give yourself the grace to be human while you build.

Cooking continues to teach me many things, but the main thing I’ve learned is that imperfection is perfection. There is a lot of value in building with what you have, where you are, right now. Starting is what’s important. Have big goals & feel overwhelmed, but stay hungry. Take a bite/sip of your dreams every day, and remember — if you forget to feed & water them, they’ll die too.
